Earlier today, Bethesda released a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming sci-fi, first person shooter, Prey. It’s a bit more revealing than the previous trailer, but I’ll let you check it out for yourself first:
There isn’t anything too ground-breaking in this trailer, but it does give us a good, less edited and constantly ‘cut’ version, of the space station you will be exploring for the entire game. The footage also showcases the type of weaponry you’ll have access to.
For instance, the video presents the Gloo Canon, which can be used to freeze enemies. And what can you do with frozen enemies? Shatter them into a million pieces, that’s what! This effect can be triggered by targetted superthermal explosions (accessed by the quick menu).
Additionally, the trailer displays the Mimic Matter ability, which transforms the player into objects around the environment, such as a coffee cup, in order to reach inaccessible areas.
The final parts of the trailer depict the outside of the space station, it’s not much, but it looks pretty darn good.
Prey is set to release in 2017 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
