What with the return of Crash Bandicoot in the N-Sane Trilogy, Banjo Kazooie in the form of Yooka-Laylee, and murmurings of Insomniac’s Spyro the Dragon PlayStation 1 platformers making a return; it’s shaping up to be quite a year for the 3D platformer.
Looking to inspire nostalgia similar to those titles, Super Lucky’s Tale was announced this morning at Microsoft’s E3 Press Conference. It’s an old school 3D platformer evoking familiar emotions to that of Rare’s earlier titles. In case you aren’t familiar with Super Lucky (which I’m assuming all of you are), he made his debut as an Oculus VR launch title last year and was cited as the platform’s equivalent of Mario… Yep, that’s right.
Developed by Playful, Super Lucky will return this November free of aching necks and sore backs.
Super Lucky’s Tale will be released November 7th exclusively on Xbox One and with Xbox’s Play Anywhere
