Overwatch‘s first competitive season is almost over, finishing on August 18th at 10:00 AEST! Overwatch’s community manager has stated on the Blizzard forums that Season 2 is scheduled, at this point, to commence on September 6th (September 7th for us, probably) but that may change as they work on system improvements.
But enough about that, here’s what they’ve said you’ll earn at the end of the season:
You’ll receive the special player icon and spray when you log on for the first time after the season ends, and if you reach the top 500 on your platform and in your region, firstly, well done, secondly, you’ll gain an extra player icon and animated spray!
Not only that, but you’ll get extra Competitive Points based on what your highest rank for the season was:
The Skill Rating (SR) to Competitive Point (CP) breakdown for Season 1:
- SR 0-39: 10 CPs
- SR 40-45: 20 CPs
- SR 46-49: 40 CPs
- SR 50-52: 60 CPs
- SR 53-55: 80 CPs
- SR 56-59: 120 CPs
- SR 60-64: 200 CPs
- SR 65+: 300 CPs
Once you gain 300 CP, you’ll be able to unlock a golden weapon for which even character you choose (you can see what they look like in the hero gallery).
Well, get out there and continue level up! There’s Competitive Points to gain!
