Deus Ex: Mankind Divided released on PC yesterday, and has been off to a rocky start. Players have been reporting crashes, as well as sub-par performance for their beefy hardware set-ups. I myself have encountered a few crashes, and definite stutter during my time with it so far. Well, hopefully some of these problems are addressed in the latest patch for the game.
The patch notes include:
• Fixed crashes caused by third-party programs interfering with the game.
• Fixed crash that occurred after viewing the intro videos.
• Fixed issue that could cause a crash at the end of the Prague intro scene.
• Fixed mouse invert setting not being displayed correctly in the options menu.
Additionally, the details are accompanied by a “note about performance” for the game. It states that:
“people reporting performance issues when playing the game on Very High/Ultra settings with MSAA set to 2x, 4x, or 8x. We would like to emphasize again that these options are very demanding.
We recommend everyone that is running at recommended spec or higher to start with the High Preset and MSAA turned off, and then tweak the options to optimize your experience.”
Those of you who somehow experience MORE issues than on a previous patch, are told they can revert to the previous version by going to the game’s Properties, and opting into the beta version labeled v1.0_build 524.6.
The Known Issues post on the Steam forums has also been updated. Of particular note, is the mouse acceleration issue, and a bug which causes the Breach (multiplayer) mode’s final rewards to not be given out.
