Necropolis Launches on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with the Brutal Edition

The Dark Souls-esque Rogue-like from Hairbrained Schemes, Necropolis: A Diabolical Dungeon Delve, which I reviewed earlier this year, has launched on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Check out the launch trailer below:

I wasn’t too fond of the original release. As it reads in my review, the neat concept was held down by an unrefined world, crafting and combat design. However, this release is being labelled as the “Brutal Edition”, which contains all the changes that the PC version received in patch 1.1.

The added feature likely to put a spark in your step is the addition of a second playable character, The Brute, who comes with entirely new armour sets and controls differently than the original Blackguard character. Similarly, a new outdoor environment, The Black Forest, has been included as well as a host of new enemies, weapons, abilities, craftable items, and other general improvements to the game.
