Lengthy Gameplay Demo of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Released

Yesterday, at the San Diego Comic-Con, Infinity Ward produced a rather lengthy look at Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. The trailer shows off new weapons, gadgets, spaceships, and of course… Big set-piece action. Check it out below:

The highlights of the trailer include a deployable spider robot that seeks out enemies and destroys them, along with guns that can alternate fire modes, such as an assault rifle that can switch to a laser sniper.

The footage also demonstrates the seamless transition between ground and space combat. If the game works as the footage portrays it to, players will be able to enter their ship and travel to space without a loading screen in between. Whether or not this is a regular occurrence or if it is just an ‘on rails every so often’ feature remains to be seen.

Space combat looks very Star Wars’esque, with huge battles centred around massive fleets.

Additionally, Infinity Ward released a much shorter video discussing the UNSA Retribution, a spaceship which acts as the player’s base of operations during the game’s single-player campaign. Check it out below:

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare launches on the 4th of November for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Additionally, if you pre-order the game, you will receive a remake of the Modern Warfare 2 map, Terminal. This time, it’s on the moon!
