Dead Rising 4 will be exclusive on Windows 10 and Xbox One for the first year.
In a recent twitter post, Capcom Vancouver responded to questions about exclusivity by stating that:
“You’ll be able to play it first on Xbox One and Windows 10.”
Daily Mirror writer Ryan Brown elaborated on this statement, claiming he was told that the exclusivity would last one year.
This could mean that a Playstation 4 release a year after launch is in the cards. Alternatively, it may just be referencing a PC wide release outside of the Windows 10 platform.
The Windows 10 release aligns with Microsoft’s “Play Anywhere” initiative, which will have an impact on many more first-party games to come.
