After a marathon 11-hours of League of Legends action, we now know our first 2 teams through to both the North American and European League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) Finals.
The 2nd seed, Splyce took to the rift first up against 3rd seed, H2K in a down-to-the-wire best of 5. Splyce took down H2K in the 5th game to secure their spot in the European LCS finals, which is being held in Kraków, Poland next weekend.
We then leap the pond for a battle between 3rd seed Cloud 9 and 2nd seed and strong favourites Immortals, who only lost 2 series all split. Again we came down to game 5, after 50 minutes we saw Cloud 9 take the victory and book their 5th North American LCS grand final appearance. The North American LCS finals are being held in Toronto, Canada next weekend.
After another action packed day of semi-final action has passed the League of Legends Championship Series Finals with G2 eSports and Team SoloMid (TSM) taking final positions for the Grand Final next weekend.
G2 eSports won the series 3-1 against the Unicorns of Love, and will now face Spylce in the grand final of the European LCS. While TSM took the clean sweep 3-0 over Counter Logic Gaming (CLG), we did see a remake in the 1st game. A visual bug was found and Aurelion Sol and TSM accepted a restart.
TSM will face long-time rivals CLG in the Grand Final. These teams have faced each other 4 times previously in grand finals with the current standing 2-2.
