This morning at Microsoft’s E3 press conference, Bandai Namco unveiled a brand new Dragon Ball video game, Dragon Ball FighterZ. You might be familiar with Arc System Works. They developed the two fantastic Persona 4 Arena titles and are consistently pumping out titles for their BlazBlue fighting game series.
Unlike the successful Xenoverse series of Dragon Ball games of recent memory, it seems this title will be less concerned with immersing players into the time-travel shenanigans of Xenoverse, instead opting for a more traditional fighting game experience. The game appears to strictly feature characters from Dragon Ball Z, with no reference to the current ongoing anime series, Dragon Ball Super.
Arc System Works’ Unique 2D style has been adapted in a way that makes the characters in Dragon Ball FighterZ near indistinguishable from their source material.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is coming to Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4 in early 2018.
